If it means faster, or more overclockable then I completely agree. Intel boards aren't the fastest or the best suited for overclocking, but I'm an old man - that's not important to me.

I had the standard 4 band EQs and Digi compressors across all the inputs, and it's is a far cry from the old days of SCSI and Firewire when you had to watch the disk usage meter closely to get some sense of if and when the system was going to drop record.

The cable distance from the CPU in the machine room to the desk is about 25', and the Gefen Ethernet Extendit works great for the flatscreen on the console. I ended up getting a much smaller flatscreen than I had originally planned in an attempt to keep it out of the pattern of the right main.
